Clay, Metal, Resistance

"Dante is not only a visionary and a writer; he is also a sculptor. (...)"
Auguste Rodin
Sculpture as direct dialogue with physical matter: clay, metal, resin, wood. The resistance of the material acts as co-author of the work — form emerges from the encounter between intention and substance, in a confrontation made of weight, friction, and working time. Every material imposes its own rules: clay yields and remembers, metal resists and heats, wood has a grain, a direction, a limit. The final form is never just the outcome of a plan — it is the point of balance reached between what the artist wanted and what the material allowed.

Form is born where matter says no.
